These photographs were taken in August 2012 at Burnaby Village Museum
in British Columbia, Canada. Puppeteer "Professor" Peter Allen
performed "roving shows" at various times and locations around the park
for two weeks. He carried his stage and puppets to an area in the
park, set up the stage, gathered an audience, did a 20 minute show,
chatted with the audience afterward, packed up and moved on! Each
performance is a bit different, using a few of the total cast of 15 puppets that Peter and Debbie have created.
Great for outdoor performances!
This entertaining show is performed on a traditional Punch and Judy
handpuppet stage. The stage is 9 feet tall, with the puppets appearing
on a proscenium about 6 feet
off the ground for clear visibility. This show can be performed at
floor level or from an elevated stage.
